ELI Thin-films Division has interests in many areas of coatings and materials research.  Some of the projects we are currently involved in are:

bulletAero-gel design,  synthesis, & applications.  We believe this particular area of material science has an unlimited number of applications.   Doping this type of material with various transition metals can yield many different chemical and physical properties which may be of great use for chemical sensors,  gaseous storage,  and thermal insulating applications.
bulletAnti-reflective sol-gel coatings.  This area of thin-film sol-gel coatings is expected to be one of biggest research projects in the next few months.
bulletThin-film sol-gel infrared mirror coatings.  This type of coating will be part of our newest product line in the near future.  Used for solar and heat transfer applications.
bulletCreating m  Synthesizing sol-gel formulations which produce exact diameter microspheres.  We enhance and alter  the chemical properties of the spheres to perform specific functions according to custom applications.
bulletFormulating porous filtering materials via sol-gel method.  Porous filtering materials has a vast number of applications from chemical processing,  to hi-tech security.
bulletXero-gel sculptures.  Not only is science involved here,  but also creative and visual art.

If you or your company is interested in any of these topics and feel this research may be related to an application related to your business,  please email us to discuss the possibilities.
